The calling is undeniable: to honor this darkest night of the year with stillness. To be together, with sangha practicing peace. To melt into the presence and love that is our essence.
Shelter Gathering ~
Winter Solstice Eve
Saturday, December 20
3-5:30pm PST
A sangha event - not open to the public.
This is a free event, by invitation only. There’s nothing to prepare for. It’s just a gift you get to receive.
We will sit. We will have some gentle inquiry and interaction. We will sit some more. We will have a dharma talk, including reflections on sangha. This is a meditation-oriented practice gathering, not a holiday party. Only for those who have experience sitting.
Simple. Come as you are. Bring a journal and pen.
Either at my home in Santa Cruz or via zoom. (Address and Zoom link will be emailed upon RSVP.)
This event is completely free. Please submit your RSVP below so we know to expect you.
In the spirit of giving, if you’d like to donate to the scholarship fund for Shelter in the Heart, we offer an opportunity to do that here. Throughout the 5+ years this sangha has been meeting, there have been cancer diagnoses, surprise unemployment, and other difficulties that have arisen as obstacles for our kalyanamitras - as is the nature of reality: always changing (anicca impermanence.) We aim to remove any financial obstacles that arise. Your contribution makes it possible to offer scholarships for Shelter in the Heart to our fellow kalyanamitras if and when they need support, as many have and do currently. Thank you for helping us sustain this practice and this sangha ~ for the benefit of all. Thank you for your loving kindness.
